lady i know has asked for some help
she got a divorce some years back , she was awarded 70% of the house and he 30%

both names are on the house deeds

she wants to make a will to leave the house to the children, he say he wants nothing to do with the house, she wanted me to check with the land regristry to see which name is on the deeds there but it is closed today ( i hate giving my credit card details to anyone )

to have his name removed of the house deeds what does she need to do and what sort of cost is involved.

i have told her all this is a waste of time because she is on benefit and has no money for any solicitor fees but she wants the info

She would have to get him to agree, then have the house valued and pay him 30% of the value if he wants his share.
It can be done very simply and the Land Registry will give them the proper advice and send out relevant forms if he doesn't want any of the proceeds.
