Universities that have an MBA course
I have been asked by someone abroad to suggest which UK universities have a good reputation for their MBA courses. This is not my field at all - can anyone suggest a shortlist of say 6-8 ?

London Business School ranked no 1 in the world according to the FT.
Quite frankly I don't give a monkeys as to the ranking if you are in the top ten or twenty. My advice is very simple - get into the best school that you can allowing for (i) your degree (ii) your GMAT (iii) your job experience and the more you can differentiate on that the better (iv) your personality and (v) your other achievements.
On the latter, my class was top of London Uni at squash and we had a county player that couldn't make the first team, we beat United Banks at rugby, we had three ex Olympians or Junior Olympians, 17 musicians and one artist (moi) on our year of 98.
Yes I am a London MBA.
Others - Harvard, Stanford, Chicago (for Finance), Northwestern, Colgate Darden, - in Europe, IMEDE/Insead..... one thing to point out is to look at your interest area - if Marketing I wouldn't go for Chicago but schools such as McGill come through stronger.
Hope this helps and if you are interested we can find a way of communicating offline from this site through a dummy e-mail.
