I was ruled against by an English county court over alleged debt and informed that there was no resource to appeal. Is this true of English county court decisions?

Do you mean resource - ie the person funding the action has refused to fund an appeal?

Or do you mean recourse - ie you requested permission to appeal at the hearing and it was refused? If permission was requested and it was refused, you can ask for permission from the Court of Appeal but only on very limited grounds.

Barmaid, first of all, thanks very much for replying and secondly, yes I meant reCourse. If you could give me any further information I would be very grateful, particularly as to "very limited grounds". Thanks again - HW
