DVLA Motorcycle License

After sending my License back to the DVLA to be issued with a tempory License as i am a type 1 diabetic,they sent my License back which now last for 3 years.
Upon looking at my new License Found that they had removed my Motorcycle License,when i rang to say about this as it was on the Licesnce i returned to them they said they have no way of checking as the old License had been destroyed and they had no record of me passing my Test.
I explained i passed my test at Dorchester test Centre on the 1st of February 1968 (my 17th Birthday).
They said that there records do not go back that far and i would have to sit the test again.So through there cockup i have to pay for a new test, BEWARE!!!!!!

Have you ever had your licence copied by an employer?

Perhaps they could supply you with the copy as proof.

yes this was featured on watchdog, I have copied mine as is now. On Watchdog though there was a pensioner with a red book licence and DVLA claimed never to have heard of them but when they went to swansea and produced it they created a record. Have you any sort of copy?

No i do not have a copy of the License and when i said what could they do if i could find a copy they said nothing if they have no record they will not issue a license.
