Why is the training environment important?

I am doing a course on training and the above is one of the questions I have to answer. Thanks for any advice.

Hope I'm not too late... The layout is important too, lots of facts and technical stuff, calculations etc. you might want a schoolroom layout of rows of chairs. Workshop = tables in a breakout area where people can stand/sit around tables, Brainstorming = complete freedom where they sit/stand/lie. that sort of thang.
