Yes, I know this has been put i here before from myself & other members, in our local Thurs paper, Scampers have been targeting our area with "Microsoft Problems" this crowd are saying that you have a serious Microsoft Virus problem & you need to sort it out ASAP. I am not implying that the Elderly out there are stupid " In case anyone thinks I am" I'm not, please be aware these Basds are after your bank / pay pal details, whatever you do, DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR DETAILS ( sorry about that) Microsoft WILL NOT contact you regards this NON PROBLEM, If you are unsure ask your friends, members on here, but DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR DETAILS, " Sermon over" TWR.

I want to know why this "You're not running Genuine Windows" keeps popping up on my screen.
Warnings are always a good idea though to keep it fresh in people's minds TWR.

Chrissa, keep downloading your updates, also clean up your computer by De frag & analyzing your system, if you suspect a scam DELETE ASAP. but do not open them, if you get mails from someone you don't know indicating towards your Personal info, DELETE.

Ed & all the members, can I suggest we all imput" help on the "scampers" that try & con people especially the elderly on here with WARNINGS? it would not take a lot of space! Would it? Oh, by the way in case i get stick, Im getting in the old farts area myself, so I am not taking the Izzzz

you would only get stick from the usual suspects TWR, and I think it's a good idea anyway, it has been said by the ED himself that the 'old farts' as you put it:-) are the majority users which is probably right as we have a bit more time on our hands now:-)

Two people in my genealogy group got caught by this. Both in their 70's but with all their marbles - one paid £70 and another paid £140!
I have now told them all that Microsoft will not know who they are and will not call them.
It is disgraceful!

After reading about the NHS & this sht government Bobbi, we will be taking German lessons shortly as we are selling every bloody thing the Germany. ( With respect to Germany) after all they did loose the 2 wars didn't they????????????? or did they?? I always wanted to speak German.
