Further to my earlier question re buying a house from my son without using a solicitor I omitted to mention the fact that I live in Northern Ireland and law may be slightly different over here. Has anyone in N.I. ever done this and can they advise me accordingly.

The Land Registers of Northern Ireland is an Agency within the Department of Finance and Personnel. The initial contact phone number is 028 9185 8111. Why not simply phone them and sort it out for yourself ?
