How to cash a Canadian money order

My aunt in Canada has sent my Mum a GB sterling money order for £500. She doesn't have a bank account so how can she cash it ?

Who are the issuing authority?

I think the Post office cash them - they certainly used to but things may have changed. That assumes it's issued by the Canadian PO

If it's from a bank and if it's not crossed then she could sign the back and you could put it in your account.
