I dont think this is possible.....but ideally id like to avoid putting in bank details :0/ or the adress i live at as its my parents xx
the only way I know off doing a credit score check is by taking one of the "free" offers that you have to remember to cancel within a month, however you need card details and an address (where the card is registered) or they cannot be sure of who you are.
I don't think Equifax, Experian and others will actually tell you how much you owe to whom. You can get a free credit rating from them but it's up to you to know who you owe what to whom.
If you do apply for a credit check they'll need to know who you are to do it. Also, remember to cancel with the credit check companies before the free trial ends.
You can get a statutory credit report for £2 from Experian or Equifax. You would have to put your addresses in for the last 5 years though.
I thought this was more the sort of service provided by debt counsellors, it's nought to do with the credit reference agencies.
Try CAB to put you in touch with a debt counsellor.
We use Experian. You pay £2/£3, they send you a report - it doesn't show any amounts, only your credit report for each card/borrowing. If you live with your parents you'll have to show that address, that's something else they will need to know (Experian, not your parents).

Im having a problem getting an online one, because i dont have a bank account at present, and you have to put in bank acc details to confirm who you are ..... Hmmm

Thanks... Was trying to sort it tonight xx
PS if you need to know how much you owe, do what we did - set up a spreadsheet and every time you get a statement, enter it up - that way you keep track each month on the outstanding balances.
you can see official debts and credit from sites for £1 BUT it will not show up debts to friends and poor budgeting!

have you thought of debt counselling and some sort of budgeting plan?

You think i should call who i can remember and ask for a figure?

I think even if i with hold my number they can still see it though and hound me :0/ x
Not that you need to give too much details, but is this storecards, credit cards? They'll have a customer services phone number on the back.

If they've been sending statements to an old address, my worry would be that your debt has been increased by charges for non-payment, and added interest....? You will have to know who you owe and how much, so you can consolidate the debt, perhaps with a loan, and pay it off.

Meanwhile, not paying will really not do your credit rating any good at all.

However, depending on how much it is - go to our bank and ask if they will make you a loan so you can pay them all off (the bank will probably say that the loan is conditional on your doing that!) but it can be a great deal cheaper than keep on paying card rates.
no, go to Your bank, not ours!
Tinks said she doesn't have an account.
LOL at Boxtops "go to our bank".
Generous, innit?!

Sorry, I didn't see that bit of tinks' post. Where does your pay go into then, tinks? If a lender can see regular salary going in, they may still look more kindly on a loan request.

Box, it most definately will have increased i am positive of that. I havent made payments in quite some time and i wont get a loan..... My rating is at its worst and im not registered at an address just now to be honest....

I dont mind saying what, i appreciate the advice as i am trying to face it all head on just now and deal with it ....its already completely out of hand......not left myself with very much options x
