Why did nobody listen to me?.
9 Answers
I told several of the people I worked with nearly 40 years ago that they would be poor in retirement if they did not join the company pension scheme.
Nobody listened to me.
Why are they moaning now that I have got a much better standard of living than them?.

"What others do as long as it has no impact on you should not be of concern to you"
Unfortunately, EC, the issue of people not providing for income in their later years is of concern to all taxpayers. People who have made no provision and who rely soley on the State pension receive huge amounts of additional support, funded by taxpayers. This additional support is not available to those who have been a bit prudent so their reward for such prudence is effectively a far lower State Pension. This is blatently unfair.
