Will they ask for my student loan back?
98 Answers
I'm planning to drop university (or take a year out...) But I was wanting to do it around October time as that works better for me.... however my student loan is supposed to go in at end of sept... if I drop will they ask for it back as I won't actually be at uni to use it?

Why don't people just answer the question that clipclop asked rather than preach at her and express their views on what she MAY be doing. She didn't ask to be lectured.

That's ok Pizza, I didn't want to but it had to be done... my avatar is of my gorgeous boy Rossko... I had him for over 9 years and sold him to go to uni... a decision I am now very very very much regretting, wish life could go back to the way it was sometimes but you gotta do what ya gotta do and just hope it all works out and you finally strike lucky on that one thing we are all chasing in life... happiness... x

Over the past 6 months or so you seem to have developed an increasing role as policing the opinions of certain ABers including myself. I have personally no objection to that, my objection being that you object to your opinions being challenged.
Of course we do not know ALL the circumstances of the posts and our answers and opinions are based on what has been provided........nothing unusual or wrong in that.......surely.
\\\"as feckless and indolent as the OP seems to be" That is just damn supposition and really rude. \\\
I disagree .....but mike1111 added the comment "seems to be."
Eccles cake wasn't even sure that his comments were about clipclop.....but in my opinion was entitled to make them.
How many threads, over the years have you seem go markedly of the OP? I would say almost all of them.
If one posts on AB one exposes one's self to replies from all opinions eccentricities and philosophical leanings .........and long may it last.
On the plus side your answer has been deemed.....BEST ANSWER......that means that the OPer agrees with you.

That's your opinion Sqad. Opinions are absolutely fine. Over the past six months or so I use AB far less and I certainly don't police.
The OP agreed with me? Of course she did - she was condemned unnecessarily and was typecast. No one knew the facts and that is all I pointed out. There was no need for some of the rudeness on this thread directed at the OP. Opinions weren't called for on this question - answers were.

Whilst I said I wasn't happy with the assumptions made by some responses (and I said so regarding pizza's response - to which she responded with a lovely apology to clip clop), I didn't feel sqad's reply was as bad as is being made out, although it would have been better in hindsight to seek more info- eg to establish whether the OP was hoping to keep the money or was wanting to know how to stop it being paid or return it easily
