Beware Of Ebay's New Relisting Process!
7 Answers
It's free listing today, so I've relisted some items.
I've just realised I'm being "done" by using their new relisting facility - if you go to the drop-down menu at the right of the item, there is now a short-cut relisting facility - and this shows a fee. Like a fool, I thought that because it's a free weekend - but I've just checked my eBay account and I had been charged for them. There is a statement on the quick box which says "by clicking relist I accept this charge" ......
However if you stick with the old system (open up the item description, click relist at the top of the page) then the fees ARE zero this week.
What a swizz - they kept quiet about that!
I've just been on the phone to eBay customer service for the last 20 minutes, explaining that I'd not expected to be charged (niaive, I know) - they have told me to end the listings on the 5 items I'd been charged for, then they will credit the listing fee back to me. I can then relist those items using the old-fashioned method, so it's free.
eBayers beware, you may get caught out too!

I rang them to query this and they told me that it was because they were in different categories or something like that. They said it was in the T&S. I thought free was supposed to mean free!
