At Christmas I paid in full for a 2 week stay in a hotel in Spain in May, I just decided to go online and have a look at the current price, I now find the hotel has been taken over by a large German travel company and no longer available with British travel sites, including the one I booked with, on the German site the hotel has been upgraded from 2 star to 4 star and the price has doubled, should I worry that I wont be allowed in, can they charge me more money when I get there, or shall I just arrive with my voucher and hope all will be ok ?

A phone call to the booking agent would probably be your best bet for information.
Sounds like you may have grabbed a bargain. If you have paid in full and have the receipt/voucher to prove it, I can't see a problem Enjoy your trip!
losgigs, but her contract was with the previous owners/company, lets just hope they will honour the old bookings, they probably will.
Personally I would contact the Company that you booked with and put the question to them, you don't want to get there and find out that the voucher is invalid.as far as asking you for more money is concerned I guess it depends on what was on the T and C that were in existence when you booked. Hope it works out ok.
That's true. Not sure whether ferret booked directly with hotel or through an agent. Perhaps they should contact the hotel directly. I assume that other customers may have booked before the German take-over too, so they wouldn't be the only ones in this quandry. If the company belongs to ABTA I think they would help too.

I booked with Alpharooms and have the Itineary, invoice and voucher.
Hi ferret, Alpharooms are members of ABTA which is good. I would try contacting them directly and see what they say. Good luck.
I agree with everyone here, a phone call to the customer service of the hotel is important. But in my opinion, they will not hold you back since you've already paid for the voucher in advance and sort like you've only availed the promo.
