I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that cigarettes seem to have gone up by about 25p per packet. I didn't think there was a raise in the last budget. Is this something from previous budgets, anyone else noticed?

Mine are menthol Craft, are they now £8.13 up your way too?
Bloomin hell. OH buys the ciggies, I don't tend to go to the shops. I would have gone down the shop with a fiver and expected change. Think it's time to give up
I never stick to a brand now. It used to be Regal Kingsize but they are far too expensive now. Berkeley King Size £6.51 at Sainsburys.
I've just paid £80.80 for 200, good job I got a huge pension increase........
it's really odd - i never imagine any of you lot smoking!
Stopped 13 years ago - (smug git) I think they were about £3 a pack then (Berkeley Superkings)
if everyone gave up smoking where would the government get the revenue they are getting now from us smokers
19 chesterfield £5.99 at the mo in our local shop.
Wow! I'm shocked at how expensive cigarettes are. Thankfully, I've not been much of a smoker. More socially than anything, but haven't had one for over a year. I don't think I'd be able to afford it anyway - which is a good thing.
craft....I dont think the pension fuel payment is meant for ciggies - lol
...and they'll keep going up whilst there are those hopelessly addicted enough to pay it.
