Ebay Charges Final Value Fee Vs Ebid.co.uk
10 Answers
I've sold a few things on Ebay and my invoice from them is now £113 !!!
Surely there is a competitor auction site that can put Ebay in its place?
I've tried Ebid and it's a good site, just doesn't have the marketing clout that Ebay have and so not as many customers.
Lets give Ebid a bit of support and help them along.

I put a pine bookcase on this morning and someone said they would buy it within 5 minutes. They are coming to collect it any minute now.

I found ebid useless , put up 12 items for 3 months , not one bid.
ebid has around 100,000 members, which sounds a lot but ebay has well over 25 million . My ebay fees are over £100 as well
You can sell stuff on Facebook but I never use it and from what I hear it is mainly local 'pick up only' stuff.

Hre in the U.S. and I expect elsewhere, one can save a lot in fees by establishing a "Store". Costs about $15 (US) monthly but for that your get free pictures (up to 12 per listing) and as of May 1, there's no fee for each item listed, only the Final Charges, but there's even a discount on that, depending on how much the Final Value is... something you might wish to check out. I sell worldwide and find Ebay is a little more sympathetic (if that's the right descriptor) to the seller should there be any problem with the sale
I rarely have aproblem, but an item sold to Russia recently wasn't paid for. Ebay (based on my setting - 8 days) opened an "Unpaid Item" case... and notified me when it wasn't paid and relisted the item for free... Also took care of the Feedback to the person who didn't pay...
