My husband and I have just excepted an offer on our house. The paper work has started to come through. We have received a paper from our solicitor headed joint purchases questionnaire, what is this ? does it apply to a husband and wife or is it for two or more people buying a property never had this before and not too sure how to proceed with it..... answer it. As a husband and wife you are jointly purchasing the house.
Bit confused Are you selling, buying, or both? As you are joint owners/ buyers as tenants in common or joint tenants, you have to answer the questions together as best you can, probably needing your solicitor to help (because some of the questions are certain to be irrelevant and others are not always easy to understand) These questionnaires are an essential part of the transaction and form the basis of the contract, so the answers are important. They are in standard form and meant to cover all normal possibilities, hence there being some things which don't apply to your case.
You and your husband are selling/buying jointly. It is addressed to you both for you both to sign
