Undoubtedly, I would bear the scars of a massive win, but would learn to soldier on.
What problems? You can never be too rich, or too thin, or have too many CD's

Mrs McM asked what I would do about the begging letters if we won the big one. I told her I'd keep sending them.
I bought it last night online as I wont get home tonight till too late. Good luck Sandy.
No way would I enter, for fear I would be burdened with such a massive win.

I'm not joking too.
Funnily enough, I just had Mr P on the phone asking me to get a couple (a couple! That's £4!) of tickets for tonight.

If we don't win I'll ask him for the 4 quid.
I don't know how much I'd give to Largs Thistle, what do they usually get?
No. I've NEVER bought any sort of lottery ticket, EVER. Not going to start now!
We were discussing this at work earlier .

Almost everyone stated that they would not soley wish to win that much money - myself included .

However sharing it between 16 people in our syndicate is quite ok .
Would all the people who wouldn't like to win such a massive amount, please not buy any tickets?

Give us greedy sods more chance.

;-)
Not long after the Lottery started there was a draw for about £18,000,000. At the time I was off work with Depression. I remember wandering around the park in the dark (with the dog) crying at the thought of winning all that money - the thought of having it terrified me.

Years down the line - I have a few tickets on for tonight and I am sure that, should I win, my money-grabbing brother would 'help' me spend it.

He also said that he would 'take care of' my cats when I die.
"If we don't win I'll ask him for the 4 quid."

If you win he'd be able to pay you back £2 for the line that didn't win.

I would obviously struggle to cope with a win, but, what the heck?
Just done a couple of tickets on line.
2sp, I have noted your request, and complied.

Good luck

Mind you, not buying a ticket has not reduced your chances, but has reduced the possible winnings by a tiny tiny amount.

I've just bought a couple of tickets online. I feel now that I'm ready to shoulder the heavy responsibility such large amounts would bring.
imagine logging into your online account in the morning and finding £157,000,000 in it!
Never feel burdened with such a lump sum, I am always here willing to take the weight of your shoulders!
I never normally buy lottery tickets but have just bought some lucky dips online.
i don't really get how it seems that so often the jackpot is won by one ticket. That never seems to happen the bog standard lottery

There have been 2 eurolotteries a week for a while now. The times the jackpot is shared it doesn't make headlines. The same if it's won by someone in a foreign country. BUt when the winner of a £100 million or more is from here we tend to remember that.
incidentally, I haven't had an e-mail from Camelot telling me to prepare myself to take up the burden of wealth
