Why do want to get to 100?

Nothing magical happens at 100. People buy off you based on your percentage rather than the number against your name.

59 is not a bad rating and if you have positive feedback that will be enough for buyers to trust you.

They will not trust you any more when you get to 100. As I said if you have got to 59 and your percentage is high nineties to a hunded you are doing fine and people will buy off you if you have something worth buying! Do not worry about number of purchases/sales as it is the quality tht counts.

I agree. I've bought from ebay and never sold. I am more reassured by 98-100% positive feedback on a few sales, than a lower percentage and more sales

I'm also wondering, what the obsession is with reaching a rating of 100. You've got 59 - so why would 100+ make it any better ??
As already mentioned, it's not quantity, it's quality.
If you've got a decent rating with a high percentage, then that's enough in my opinion.
If I'm buying, I like the seller to have a rating of 20+ (that's high enough for me), with a percentage into the high 90's or poss 100%.
