By the same token do you think I would adhere to that statement/advice. You took the time to write that VHG, really? You're browsing away with nothing better to do, and thought I know I'll post something that is less than useless. From the contents of your post No, I don't expect a CEO would read an e mail that YOU sent them. But when all avenues have been exhausted, as they have, yes I will write to the CEO, will they read it? I have no idea, but the important thing is that you got your concern out there, I'm so proud of you, well done sun beam!
Cheers FF, genuine help, thank you.

I have used this approach before now (but as a last resort after trying the normal routes) and it has worked. vhg is right in that the CEO probably won't see it but he/she and will have a team of people who deal with these issues and will be keen to resolve it. The last thing a CEO wants is bad publicity which says they ignore emails from customers
FF what a totally amazing site - why isnt your answer 'the greatest' ?
yeah I agree if you have had completely crap service you should try emailing the CEO - it seems fair to start off with a complaint.
I dunno why VHG has been sucking a lemon
yes it looks as tho the CEOs may or do read their emails !
Hoover tried to keep their free flights fiasco a few years ago in house,
and yup it was complainants who emailed the head office in Amerikee that blew it wide open.
When RBS was a caring bank (years and years ago) owned by - was it young or younger ? anyway I wrote to Lady Young/er (aged 93) about her son's (lord Younger or Young or someone) more obvious failings -
'Did you know your husband was the president of a company of fools ? Your answer may be yes - he tells me so frequently....'
it didnt go to the wife - but to the mother. Ho hum, so what,
and goodness me it had an effect.
I quite liked: "Do not turn to the inert and almost lifeless form next to you in bed and kick it saying: 'you're useless, did you know that ?' That would be cruel, it may not be your husband, it could be the dog.'
Anyway the bank operative that rang me that week was anything other than inert and lifeless
