I was in the toon this morning, at the Western General (nowt serious).
I said to her indoors how quiet the place seemed, even got parked near where we were going. Your experience might explain it murraymints. :)

Where there's a castle there's a grockel...or million.. !! ..they say Edinburgh quadruples in festival time. And the rest !!
Princes Street is a nightmare with all the tourists, traffic cones and festival twits. The high heidyins should have banned traffic and extended the pavements into a terrace. Would have a lovely view of the castle as you tuck in to some deep fried Irn Bru.

If you have to go up town, better to go along George Street or Rose Street and cut down. Only way to preserve your sanity.

Plowter..you one of us ? I tend to scoot Doon rose st lane...get into marks, jenners by the back door....had to stop at milnes for refreshment! Lol..
Question Author
Gie ye a laugh plowter..I was parlying in French with a visitor outside milnes at a table...when I asked to pay I was asked....in euros or pounds ? .
milnes for gawds sake !!
MM, yup. I need to take a wander into town tomorrow afternoon. May feel the urge to nip into Milnes for a beer. They do take euros and it really confuses the Americans! Can't imagine the Port O Leith taking euros.
Question Author
Try that at the boundary bar or Leith cavern ! Lol....how many edinbru folks here ?
look on the bright side, you'll have "independence" soon then there'll be no one about!
