Although the headline is misleading, in the fact that Tommy Robinson was not doing any filming, he just went along as part of a future BBC documentary team.
/// leader Tommy Robinson turned up unannounced to a lecture on human rights in the Muslim world with a cameraman making a documentary for the corporation. ///
The ironic part of all this it was a lecture on 'Human rights'.
I think that Chetan Bhatt, the director of the LSE’s Centre for the Study of Human Rights, has a lot to learn about Human Rights, perhaps she should study at a different school to the LSE?

Frankly I think it's extreme cowardice on the part of LSE if they are justifying this on security grounds. Robinson's recent courage should be commended - it's an extremely rare sight in politics.
I could, however, understand if they objected to lectures being filmed, but they had cleared the documentary beforehand. I'm not sure they have a leg to stand on really :/.

Of course if the Mail or tabloids had printing that headine we would have the liberal left on here jumping up and down. Wonder what they will say about this headline?
It is interesting to see that whilst they ar expecting tolerance they dont want to do the same in return.
Mr Robinson is no longer a member fo the EDL and yet they seem to be using that as the excuse to bash him despite the fact he appears willing to listen to the 'other side', which is surely a good thing.
Perhaps they should take a leaf out of Mr Robinsons book on this?

I think one has to take Mr. Robinsons renunciation of the EDL and the violence associated with it at face value, and that being the case, the LSE are being a bit precious here. Rather like they were during freshers week recently, when they banned the atheist society stand from freshers week because they were wearing "jesus and mo" tee-shirts, and the LSE authorities feared such shirts might cause offence.
Spineless, LSE have become.

The headline is not misleading in any way. When someone is working with a film crew, the whole group is said to be 'filming', not just the cameraman.
You asked whether he should be prevented from attending such a lecture [sic].
No - I don't see why not. It's not like he was organising a mass demonstration or anything. I don't see why his presence would have been deemed inflammatory.

Do you even bother to read what other people on this site actually say before you make assertions about it? Everyone on this thread so far has been supportive of Robinson.
