Buy some premium bonds ?

Stick it in a high interest savings account?

Send it to me....?

....A high interest savings account is probably your best bet long-term.

Look in the financial pages of the national newspapers on Weds or the weekend and check out the interest rates. Ing direct as excellent they offer 5% on balances of 1 plus with no notice required for withdrawals. This rate of interest beats all of the popular banks and building socs to my knowledge who don't even pay that rate of interest on much larger sums such as 20k. Other than that check out www.thisismoney.co.uk for the best rates and general advice. Try www.nsandi.com for premium bond and other national savings info. Good luck.
Open an ISA if you haven't already got one.
Totally depends on you situation, if you have a mortgage pay it off that first, if youhave debts pay it off those, if you don't have them then stick it in a high interest account.

Or just spend it.
if you don't have any other use for it, I'm sure I could take it off your hands...
