A friend of mine owes me money (I basically paid for night out for group friends and they pay me rather than all pay separately). No problem with that. One of my friends who I don't see that often as live distance from me, is going and she can't find her cheque book to post payment which she normally does. She wants pay me by paying money directly into my bank account .. bank transfer, she asked my bank details to do this. What info do I give? Obviously I know not the long number on my card. Is it just my account number and/or name and/or sort code ... and would you feel happy doing this? I've never given my details to an individual before. Thanks.

just your bank account number and sort code, ive done it before with no problems, both paying and payee
She'll need your bank account number and sort code (found on your chq book or debit card).
Your account number and sort code are all that it is needed.

There is nothing to worry about, this information is on all your cheques.
you are giving her no more information than you would do if YOU were sending HER a cheque (which i presume you wouldn't hesitate to do)
