30 Answers
Hi there
I have to make regular payments to Christians against poverty and I go into a bank that they recommend Llyods TSB however the payment was never received I found my receipt and there is a digit missing on the receipt from what the account number is it is obvious some stupid person who did it and I am now being accused of not making the payment and I want to go in there tomorrow and tear strips of them because my money has gone somewhere in the system it should not have. How can I make a complaint

Take out the middle man in future and make a BACS transfer. That way only you are responsible for any errors that may occur.
Just go to the bank and talk to them, don't tear a strip off them, you must have left with some form of receipt and it IS your responsibility to check for errors prior to leaving the bank.
It does seem odd that the system accepted an account number one digit short though.......odd, very odd!
