Because I have too much time on my hands I have decided that I am going to go out of my way to save money this year. I am not going to go round all the shops buying different stuff in each one - I am going to actively seek coupons, etc. I am going to keep a list over the year and it will include any money I get refunded for valid complaints to businesses. Today I saved 50% on my total bill at a Hungry Horse pub by joining some free monthly draw thing last time I was in there (ok, I didn't strictly save the money as I had to spend the other 50% - I'm not hard up, just bored and penny pinching).
Good idea, sher - there are coupon sites you can sign up too. Look also at sites like Wowcher - I got a very good deal on OH's Christmas present this year by making use of a massive Wowcher discount.
Anne - it's easy peasy, organisation is the key and the things are six in March, they're hardly babies. It was a different matter when they were tiny and the others were so young.
I'm doing quite well without trying, Sherr......I've had a voucher from Homebase to help me celebrate my first Christmas in my new home...it's my third.
And an email tonight from a local hotel offering me free drinks to celebrate my January birthday....my birthday is May....mind you the staff are going to sing Happy Birthday so I might give it a miss.....☺
