'frauded' Can I Still Get A Refund?
6 Answers
Hi there,
I ordered an item from Play.com on the 31st Dec and it was supposed to be delivered between 6-7 days. Play.com emailed me on the same evening telling me that my item has been posted by the PlayTrade Seller MaxRam. Then on the 6th Jan I get an email from MaxRam saying that my item will not be delivered until to 17th Jan because they were let down by their supplier & are therefore currently unable to fulfil my order. They apologised and offered me a refund which I would like as I'm not too impressed with their service. The thing is, the credit card that I used to purchase from play.com was 'frauded' (my credit card was used to buy stuff that I didn't buy and I believe they got the details from me using Play.com) and I my credit card provider will be sending me a new one. The credit card that I used to buy from play.com has been destroyed as instructed by my provider. The question is can MaxRam (the PlayTrade seller) still issue me with a refund even though my old credit card will be destroyed and I will be getting a new credit card with a new number?
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

The refund on the old card should go through - I've had a similar situation (the card was an MBNA mastercard) and the refund was passed through to the new card number.
