How Do I Register A Credit (Not Debit) Card With Paypal?

I just can't do it. It keeps asking for a sort code and account number; both of which you'll find on a DEBIT card.

I wish to register a CREDIT card with Paypal; they don't have account numbers or sort codes

It's easy enough registering a DEBIT card. but try registering a CREDIT card

you must be in the wrong place, I just tried and it asks for the long number along the middle first. If it's asking for sc/ac then you appear to be registering an account not a card. I did Profile-my money, then click update by the debit and credit cards bit, then click "add a card" - at no point has it asked for SC/AC and it wont even for a debit card. Have you actually set up a bank account properly? Are you verified?

Thanks Tora, you explained it wonderfully. Others have failed miserably and some of the online explanations are either out of date or not very good. It's going to take a couple of days for it to register properly, but at least I've made a start. Thanks once again

Good luck, Lynn. I have a credit card with mine so it does work (although I think you also have to have a linked bank account too)

I have a CC linked too, which they ask for as a back-up, just in case there's not enough money in your default bank account.
