Do Natwest charge for taking money out of machines abroad?

Just wondering cos if its free or only cheap I might just get cash out of the machines when we are in Lanzarote.

I have looked on their website but it doesnt say anything

From an article dated 16th April 2005;

NatWest charges a 2.65% "exchange rate transaction fee", plus a commission fee of 2.25% up to a maximum of �4 per transaction.

Nationwide doesn't charge commission for using their card overseas - as long as you have sufficient funds.

You can withdraw money from Nationwide, LINK or CIRRUS cash machines with no fees from Nationwide.

I have used mine all over the world and never been chaged by Nationwide. You also get the best exchange rate. What you do pay is any withdrawl fee that the machine operator imposes, usually no more than a pound or two.
Unless anyone can persuade me to the contrrary my advice for travel money is to take a small amount of local cash, for urgent use (coffee/taxi/phone/tolls etc) but to withdraw money for spending in reasonable quantities, (say �100 in local currency) with the Nationwide Flex Accolunt Card, as and when you need it, usually immediately upon arrival, and then whenever the wallet looks a little thin.
