Noticed I had 3 numbers and bonus ball on Health Lottery £50 came my way.

Car insurance reminder came. I phoned and had legal cover of £27 removed. I also mentioned that last year we had a £20 discount any chance of it this year? I'll look into it says he. Comes back and says ok you can have £20 discount again. Result!

Phone bill came from Talk Talk I've had a discount of £2 and £6 for the last year. That had disappeared so I phone them and asked why. Oh the year is up they say. Can I have another discount I ask. Ok you can have the £2 a month again also you can have free calls to mobiles for 3 months. Result!

Electric bill from Scottish Power, I noticed I was £233 in credit. I phoned and asked for £200 to be refunded back into my account, okay they say. Result!

So it pays to query and to be cheeky!

All that went out of the window a long while back jno. Now you have to query every bill and policy before you get anything. Insurance companies are the biggest robbers.
