My driving licence runs out next month but I passed my test in 2005 and didn't think it should have ran out yet. I have held my provisional licence since I was 17 which was 2002. My husband on the other hand, only got his provisional licence in 2004 and passed in 2006 but his needed renewing last year. I don't understand how this works. Why did my husbands licence run out before mine when he passed his test after me? What are the rules for licence renewal?
the licence needs renewing for the sake of the picture, you still have the entitlement. You just need to get a new picure. 4b on the front is the expiry date for picture update purposes, the expiry of the entitlement is on the back in column 11.
Yes I know that. My question was why did my husbands licence run out before mine when he had his provisional licence after mine and passed his test after me.
Unless you are inferring that my husband has aged so badly and needs his licence updating before mine because the government are spying on us and can tell that he looks nothing like the youthful lad he once was and instead looks like a weather beaten potato sack.
It will be the photo card that has expired not your licence. The photos normally last about 10 years and this will need updating every. The rules had probably changed by the time your husband passed. As the DVLA is the boss so to speak we have to do as they say.
Lost SOH TTT ?
We all know the government is spying on us all 24 hours a day and has a 'beaten potato sack' register. I see Swiper's other half seems to be top of the list !
