AOL and MSN

I have aol broadband. Most of my friends talk on MSN Messanger and no1 uses AIM, but the only way i can connect is to have the AOL Browser open while i use msn. I was wondering if there is anyway i can connect to AOL Broadband without haveing to open the browser. Please help,

Not that I know of - if you close the browser, doesn't that automatically close your connection?

Another option is to move from AOL if you aren't still tied to a 12 month contract. If you sign up with someone else and choose with the new ISP to "migrate" to them then you can avoid any set up fee.
If you migrate to my ISP and name drop me I think I get a tenner (hint hint).

Not likely possible since AOL insists that everything and I mean everything that connects to the net goes thru their horrid browser
