credit card query

i was wondering if anyone has experience of transferring their credit card balance while claiming benefits? i took out an egg card with an interest free period after leaving my job as i had another job lined up. this was to give me a bit extra over christmas. however i was hit by serious ill health shortly after christmas and have been unable to work. i am currently claiming income support. the card is now at limit ( i have had to move house several times too) and i would like to be able to try and save some money by transferring to interest free on another card. will this be possible if i am not working?

No card company will accept your application if you state that you are unemplyed.
