A company has abused my trial shift and I'm just hoping we have a similar law to Australia.

Thanks

The UK has separate legislation (often based upon EU law) for different areas of employment. For example, we've got legislation relating to minimum pay

and statutory holiday entitlements:

Other matters, relating to individual contracts, are more likely to be covered civil dispute procedures.

Apart from the minimum pay and holidays that Buenchico mentioned, I don't know of any similar law or act to the Australian one.
My son has just graduated and is looking for a job. I am astounded by how tight some companies can be regarding payment during trial periods. One mentioned 5 months of unpaid training in London. It seems it is legal to do this. Jdjack, how did your company abuse your trial shift?
