But his original point is wrong. Pubs are closing for all sorts of reasons, the ban on smoking being only one reason.
But when the pits closed down, it brought about widespread unemployment and misery. If the fringe meeting wanted to discuss how to revive former pit communities, then it would have been an interesting discussion.

yes, I do have some sympathy with UKIP, but this is one of the things I don't like about them, essentially Farage is a smoker and like all smokers he's a smelly selfish Oaf who thinks their disgusting habit is ok to inflict on normal people. It is this attitude that makes the ban necessary in the first place.
