What happened there I have no idea. I was typing and it suddenly disappeared! ▼▼▼▼▼ Wots occurring here then?

Start again.

Thursday. Quit calm and peaceful out this morning. Wonderful. I'm at the hospice this morning, and my mate, the lad in the wheelchair across the road is coming over for lunch when I get home. I suspect lots of quality control on the dry white wine will be done. I'd better get extra supplies in!
It's just as well I'm not going to the hospice afterwards! Going up the W in Nailsworth would be interesting!

Afternoon oz. I've asked Ed to delete the other one. I was typing away and it just vanished and reappeared as a post!

It's going to get colder in the next few days, but at least it should be drier.

How you doing mate?

Morning tinks xxx How are you this morning? :o}
I'm ok thanks Boaty. You?
Another rather breezy night here and another wet deluge expected by 9.
Had been planning a trip to the IOW today and taying for a couple of days. Knocked that idea on the head now !
Yesterday, when we were all out for walkies, we were walking into the wind and we all looked like Marcel Marceau impersonators. Remember him?

Indeed I do tinks. That conjures up a picture! :o}

Where do you stay on the Isle of Wight?
Always Shanklin old village. I love it.
Morning Jan, all well?

Getting warm here 39c = 102f today.

Have to go to Sydney this weekend, nephews engagement party, Phhuh.

Snotty nosed affair, garden party at some posh reception place, dress code "formal". It will be 40c+, humid as a sauna and we have to dress like undertakers. NOT HAPPY!!!!!

Not to mention the 5 1/2 hour drive to get there and the same home again.
I'm thinking it may be less painful to break a bone and have an excuse not to go ;-)
^^^ @ 5.35 STAYING...
Garden parties are indeed snotty affairs Otto. I've been to two Royal garden parties, one in Buck House and one at Holyrood Palace.
Long way to go just for a drinkie otto. Stay at home. If you HAVE to go to the party, then wear your big hat with corks dangling all around. Classy !

Get your thinking head on oz. There has to be a good reason to not go. For instance there has some paint that has to be watched while it dries, to make sure it does the job properly, or the grass has to be supervised to ensure it doesn't grow unevenly.

We stayed at the Lorron hotel in Lake tinks. It's between Shanklin and Sandown. Very good.
I reckon this one will bat "buck house" for a six.
The nice young fellows future ex and her parents are "would be if they could be".
Yes, I know Lake. Many parts of the island are still really pretty. Not too keen on Ryde or Sandown though.
Oooh Otto, time to let the side down and phart as loudly as possible. Make sure you're NEVER invited again.
"Death" is the only excuse that may hold water.

I've spent long enough in the dog house, Mrs. Ozzys side of the fambly.

I'm sure you understand now ;-)
Poor old Ventnor never picked up again after the Beeching axe fell and the trainline stopped at Shanklin.
I'm thinking this place may have a pond Jan, so I'll take me cork hat and a fishing rod.
P in the pond Otto.

I know the type oz. Sounds like one to avoid if possible.

Yes tinks I agree. Some pretty places. Do you visit the garlic farm? :o}

We had to 'do' Osborne House. All the usual tourist places and some not usually known to the grockles. Vera loved it.
