Stopping Automated Messages From Ebay.

A bidder has won one of my items and has bids on several others. She's asked to wait until all the listings end, get everything in one parcel, and pay a combined postage invoice.

Some of the items she's bid on still have 6 days to run and I know that after a few days eBay will send a payment reminder for the item she has already won and hasn't paid for.

Is there anyway I can stop the automated payment-reminder email? I know I could try contacting eBay to ask but just lately I've been struggling to communicate with them.

Thanks for any replies, peeps.

Perhaps message the winning bidder, to warn them to expect and ignore the automated e mails.

Thanks Hopkirk, I'd already done that, was just a bit concerned about them getting a non-paying bidder strike. Am I right in thinking that won't happen unless I open a case against them?
Hi Mrs chappie - look into your settings. If you have ticked 'let Ebay initiate a non payment case' then un tick it. All that will happen is the buyer will get a reminder email to pay -if you do not initiate a non payment case nothing will happen. I have an Ebay shop and sometimes this happens, people want their stuff all mailed together As long as you communicate what is happening with your seller there should be no problem. I even have people buying stuff in the middle of the month and asking if they can pay at the end when they get their wages -no problem for me and Ebay have never started a non payment case without my permission.

That's great, thanks Chic.

I wonder if bits of my eBay pages are missing as I can't find any reference to 'let eBay initiate a non payment case' anywhere, I have found 'You can choose us to send a payment reminder if your buyer hasn't paid after a couple of days' though.

I've got this set to Yes at the moment, but I'll change it to No. I reckon that should solve the problem. I'll swap it back once I've finished dealings with this particular buyer.

Thanks again, that's very handy to know.
Hi Mrs chappie -I have a business account so it may be a bit different.

You may know this already but go you your Ebay page and click 'ACCOUNT' then from the drop down menu click MANAGE COMMUNICATION WITH BUYERS'. Go to the blue £ sign and click on it, it will have " IF BUYER HAS'NT PAID SEND A REMINDER' You can click yes or no and this will stop reminders being sent for all your items for sale until you tick it again

Hi Chic, I've got the blue £ sign, the wording's slightly different on mine to yours, but means the same. I've changed it to No, so problem should be solved. Cheers for that, much appreciated.
