The tax man advises you to keep records for six years
and perhaps it is time to start to do so
Do you have no idea of the lender ?
if you do then you could apply under the data protection act ( assuming that it is your data )
after a mega run in with the tax man
I have kept every receipt I have ever been given since 1985
and bank statement
They are quite flat and thin and dont take up much room
PP I'm getting answers slowly but surely, problem is I'm going back 2005, It's a task I would recommend other to do, that is if they had Finance for cars or any other Finance agreement Re/ PPI, it was called Payment Protection at that time, we have all been there, well I think we have.
It starts with a negotiation, TWR, depending on who and the amount, you don't need the documentation. Deal direct with the lender not one of these intermediates who are living off the fat of the land.
I'm doing my own research DT If people take their time they can do it with paying out to a 3rd party, I've had a few thousand up to now, I say a few, it was 2.1/2, a Mortgage was one.
I got mine on a mortgage from one of the major banks, no documentation required, a clear memory where the manager sold me the PPI....by chance, he had moved from Truro to running branches in London, inc covering the company I worked for.
