Any Npower Customers Out There?

Npower supply my electric and gas, and as my gas tariff is ending in a couple of months I rang them and asked what their best quarterly direct debit (what I'm on) is, and they quoted me a similar unit price, but a daily standing charge nearly three times as much! Anybody else had a similar increase from Npower? This sort of increase is never reported: all news reports refer to the unit price going up or down, never the standing charge which seems to be just 'think of a number'. With them today reporting a £99 million loss and sacking 2,400 staff, I fear there is only one way they will get back to profit - beware the Standing Charge !
