My 87 yr old mum was treated very badly recently at our local hospital and suffered an attack by a patient with dementia who should have been monitored, was denied her usual pain relief and was discharged in a semi coma state to name but a few things. Since being discharged she is very, very ill and not expected live long. I am so disgusted that this has happened I want the hospital to account for this. I am therefore unsure what action to take. Do I see a solicitor first or do I send a complaint letter to the hospital. I would like to make it clear this is not about compensation, but holding those who were supposed to care for my mum made accountable.
