It's very easy - use a switching site, choose which supplier you want to switch to and they do everything
Its easy, but go to one that gives you freebies, like Meercat.com.e
I have been with Utillity for a few years now, cheapest I have ever had, but it can depend on where you live.
Dead easy, I'm on about my 5th energy supplier after using the 'switching' sites. Once my contracts up I'm looking for a better one.
To get the cheapest fuel it is usually a requirement that you pay by monthly direct debit.

Thanks all. Will seriously look into it.
I'm with BG and get all our bills through the post.
Then you are probably paying a good bit more than you need to, ummm.
Have been using OVO for a year now. Very pleased with them. Recommended by Which.
Just ring up Youswitch - or is it uswitch ? And they'll do it all for you over the phone. Doddle. Last time I switched I saved hundreds of pounds a year.
Probably, NJ. Embarrassingly I don't even know what we pay.
We switched and the new company handled the cancelling of BG.

BG then refunded the mo ey we were in credit by.

Then BG sent us a bill!

According to them it was an automated estimated bill - they cancelled it.
