no money has left my bank account yet, danny
If you have a Paypal account I would contact them, otherwise forget it.
It's a very common scam don't open it. Either send to spoof@paypal or just delete it without opening.
Yes, the email won't really be from PayPal. As Eddie says a common scam fishing for your details. Delete.
If you open it there will be a link to 'cancel' this order. If you click on it it will tell you enter your bank details for the refund. You don't need me to tell you what will happen if you give them your details do you!

ive sent it to [email protected]
cheers everyone
had one the other day sent it to [email protected] they are looking into it and thanked me for reporting it
I had one a few weeks ago, I checked my Paypal account and someone had just taken a payment out of my account! Thankfully it hadn't come out of my bank account and I rang them straight away and got it stopped. I changed my password immediately. It's worth checking your account just to make sure that your account hasn't been hacked.

i think i should phone them, what was your experience when you phoned them kathyan? were they helpful, did you have to wait on the line for ages? i´m phoning outside the uk, so dont really want to hang around.
I have never actually managed to speak to a real person at paypal.
They have an online chat service that is very efficient.
I would check your paypal account on line first. Only ring Paypal or contact them if your account has got a fraudulent/incorrect transaction.
I wouldn't ring them just to report the email- it would be a pain to find a number and someone to speak to and would achieve nothing anyway in my opinion. Millions of similar emails go out each year just in the UK and hundreds of millions across the world. You are lucky not to have lots of these before.

F.A.O. FF, every time i try to check my account i get this message..
We're reviewing your documents
Thanks for checking in with us. Your documents are still being reviewed. We'll email you when your identity has been verified.

this has happpened several times : (
They were very good. They cancelled the transaction straight away and that was the end of it. It was a good thing that I checked my account as soon as I got the email or I wouldn't have seen it.
Checking the actual email address that the email came from can be a good clue as to whether or not it is fraudulent and one of the many phishing emails sent out.

I had an email about a payment from my account I hadn't made, in dollars if I remember rightly. I checked the email address, found it was genuine and contacted Paypal and they sorted it out for me very quickly from what I remember. It was quite some years ago now but I think I reported it online somehow.
