I have just received the quarterly bill and...the repayments have gone down from £72 per month to £65!

Considering that electricity prices have just increased, I am delighted with this reduction. Good innit!

Question Author
EDF, Danny.
ooh, very nice Tilly xx
Buy a bottle of vino to celebrate this evening !
Question Author
I thought the price increase was in June, Ael. I may be wrong.
Question Author
I might just do that, Alba. :-)
Didn't think it was British Gas.
Question Author
We get our gas and electricity from EDF.
this is not the right time to mention it, but a BIL and his missus were dual fuel with EDF and changed supplier. Took them a year to get their refund for over-payment.
Question Author
That's not good, Alba.
I am with the awful Brit Gas
anyone on anything good ?
I know this is a happy thread and am glad that yours has come down Tilly xx
Changed from British Gas to E-on years ago.None of the other providers are as bad as British Gas.
PP, we're now on Economy Energy, switched from Scottish Gas.
Seem very reasonable so far.

Used to be with Scottish Power, was looking for my refund, usual guff, would take up to 6 months to receive it.
errr, no, you lot want paid within a time frame, I'm giving you 21 days to re-pay me.
Got it within 10 days.

We always opt for any Price Promises EDF offer. That seems to help.

Must away. Bye, everyone.
many years ago had a very interesting discussion with British Gas/Scottish Gas.
Previous house was all electric, we could get gas piped in which was fine.
Got the gas pipe and the meter box (sans meter)
Some weeks later, 2 letters arrived, one addressed to the Occupier, one addressed to me.
Each were estimated gas bills for over £300, each letter varying amounts.
Anyhoo, phoned them, we hadn't used any gas at all.
Sincere apologies from them and it would get sorted.
Next letter was threatening to cut us off.
Next phone call to them was me telling them to come along and try to cut off a non-existent supply and to ask when they would do it so I could get my journalist mates to see it happening.

Found this in response to Ael.

It's British gas raising prices in September, I believe.
