My fiancée and I need £15k for our wedding in March, £30k for a car (her 30th birthday present) and £10k to consolidate our previous loan. Our combined income is £44k and living with parents so is def affordable. Do we...
1. ask our bank who've refused us in the past for a joint loan ?
2. go online for a joint loan?
3. go online for 2 separate loans?
4. get a PCP for the car and a joint loan?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.My advice would be don't spend 30k on a car - go for a good quality 2nd hand car from a dealership so you get a decent warranty. I appreciate that she commutes a distance but you lose so much money driving the car of the lot.

Assuming this post isn't a wind up - you do not need to spend £15k on a wedding! Our was fantastic and we spent just over £2k. Your wife doesn't need a £30k car - that's madness. What on earth would yo do if either if you lost your jobs?? And £44k combined isn't much at all I'm afraid - lost of people earn that on their own.
Greese, It's true that in the serious topics we should stick to answering what is asked, I don't think the off topic replies are abusive as such though.
Rather they are expressing concern at someone wanting to start their lives together swathed in debt, lots of us come from an era of saving until you can afford something.
