I want to make a donation and have been asked to use the usual six figure type bank code followed a number in this format,12345678-02.

I've never come across an -02 before. Does it seem OK?

When I had a Barclays joint account with my husband, it had -02 at the end.

UK bank accounts are usually the 6 digit sortcode followed by an 8 digit acc no. I've never seen one with -02 at he end although building society roll numbers can have unusual formats.
The first two digits of the sortcode identifies the Bank or Building Society e.g. 20 = Barclays. What is it in your case?

I agree if you are unsure - - - dont

But I must say my HMRC tax account ends in K
