My ice and I are both on State Pensions.
Mine is considerably more than hers. (We pool it.)
If I die first, will my wife get any of my state pension, or will it die with me?
I worry sick about her having enough to live on.

My late husband and myself were in the same situation as yourself, my pension being considerably lower than his. I was also worried that I would only get my pension when he died but fortunately it was made up and now I receive the normal state pension

Ring the pension department and ask them how much she will get. they will inform you by letter, having looked into it.

My eighty four year old friend did this recently.

If your spouse or civil partner reached State Pension age before 6 April 2016, they should contact the Pension Service when you die to check what they can claim.

They may be able to increase their basic State Pension by using your qualifying years if they do not already get the full amount.
