Had an 8am appointment at doctors this morning. Did a change of cloths. Transferred £20 in notes, 1 tenner 2 5s to back pocket of cleaner jeans. Left house for the walk at 7:40am. Arrived at locked surgery at before 8. Went for walk to kill time. Went back to surgery. Noticed 10 note on ground. Checked my pocket. It was mine. No sign of other 2 fivers. Don’t like these new greasy notes.

Get a wallet.. ;)

I like the ones you put the note in then zip it up with a little zip. Nice and safe, some even have little pockets you can add your keys to
I agree use a wallet
Polymer notes?

They last longer, harder to counterfeit, saves your government lots.

Bit harder to handle though.
you can send em through the washing machine though
might be classed as money laundry though ;)
The old noted could go through the washing machine!
Poor you! Too hard earned!
pretty awesome to find the tenner though.. Unfortunate to have lsot the other 5's :/
No, not a good start. But, on the positive side, any other combination of 2 notes would have had you £15 down. They are slippery little beggars and no mistake.
Get yourself one of those little metal money clips, Bob. They are very useful.
As others have said, get a wallet.

Then you'll be able to lose all your money (together with all your debit & credit cards) in one go ;-)
Precisely, Buenchico, and the same goes for the money clip.
Just a modicum of care with a wallet is all that's needed - I've carried one for over fifty years and never lost it yet.
You started with £20 in your back pocket and ended up with £10.

Are you an ass half full or half empty kinda guy?
I put the amount of money I need in a money clip in the front pocket of my jeans. I carry my purse in my handbag. The likelihood of me losing both must be very rare.
I dropped a tenner outside the surgery this morning. (a brown one)
I hope you got on OK at the doctors M, albeit a tenner's worth.
