I have just looked at my online statement and never ever queried it in my life. However I started to count some direct payments and then the balance and it's doesn't look correct at all.

One sec I'm money over like £200 - then another seco I'm should be over £400.

What's the best way of adding up this time. Thanks

jenny, i don't really know how to explain how to add up in a different manner!
Online statements sometimes have transactions listed in a different order to paper ones. Latest ones at the top on online, but bottom on paper. That could be what’s confusing you.

thanks I'll look at it again tomorrow.
Can you print off your direct debits and add them up on paper, in front of you?

sorry for asking such a silly question - I shoulda known that there were more debits - it has worked out ok.
Use a calculator.
