I'm going to move into my nan's house whilst I try and sell my property. A few people have told me to try and sell up before brexit and then look to buy afterwards as house prices should fall.

Is there any certainty that they will fall and how does anyone know this? Are they just predicting or is there an existing economic based truth to this?

As rbexit has never happened before I have no idea where people are getting their info from!

Thats exactly what I thought.
tigger how long is a piece of string?
nobody knows anything. They don't even know if there's going to be any kind of deal.

This is as good a summary as any but they don't know either:

My (pure) guess, is that house prices will rise afterwards. Mostly because of uncertainty and people wanting stability. Extra demand always increases prices.
Would living with your nan be okay for a longer period - with all the uncertainty around Brexit anything could happen. You are not likely to kill each other?

Will baby Tigger be okay?

Wish both of you well ☺♥

I also thought that house prices could increase post brexit with uncertainty.

I could do Wolf, but I was hoping to move to different more pleasant area as I don't like it any more. Loud music, fly-tipping all over the pavement and other litter, not to mention the horrible woman next door, are all reasons I want to move. And there are no secondary schools for miles so that is another factor.

My nan resides in her converted garage 'granny annex' and the rest of her 3 bed property is free so ideal for the time being. Only problem is its only a mile away from me so technically the same area which I want to get away from.

I'm in a 2 bed terraced but would like a 3 bed semi with at least a driveway.
something else which I believe but that has never been said is that even if at this late stage, we don't leave, things won't go back to pre-referendum either. Its like a couple who decide to divorce but then eventually decide not to.....things afterwards may be better or that may be worse but they won't be the same.
