I think it's very clever of the Tories at the moment to be able to manipulate the media and blame Jeremy Corbyn for the failure of Brexit in the HOC.
It's The Emperors' New Clothes. The real reason Brexit hasn't happened is that May and Johnson couldn't command the full support of their own party. If they had, there wouldn't be any delays. It would have been done long ago, and anything that Corbyn said or did, wouldn't have mattered. It'd be done. So, the Tories blame Corbyn instead of the real culprits - their own rebel MPs'. Yesterday, on BBC Breakfast, if Sajid Javid mentioned Corbyn once he must have mentioned him a hundred times. The Tories are running scared of Jeremy Corbyn and all this blame game is doing is trying to gain an advantage ahead of a General Election.
Everyone can see that the Tories have shot themselves in the foot with all the votes in the Commons, but in the style of The Emperors New Clothes, it's Jeremy Corbyn. Innit?

// The Tories are running scared of Jeremy Corbyn //
You must be joking, who is it that is scared of an election? Corbyn.
Crikey, I don’t really know where to start with that, but I’ll give it a shot......
1. Manipulate the media - can you give an example of this ‘caus I can’t think where the press have written anything which suggests they’ve been manipulated by the Govt. Quite the reverse in fact.

2. No PM could command the respect of the party in agreeing to anything when the majority of said party is Pro EU.

3. Running scared of Corbyn. Well, sorry but that’s just laughable.

4. Shot thenselves in the foot with a vote in the commons. A vote in the commons was the only way to decide whether a deal was acceptable. It had to be done (unless you can explain that there’s some other magic method).

Your grasp of politics leaves a lot to be desired, 10C.

well 10cs, this surpasses your winter of discontent level of delusion! Most lefties have some level of delusion but you me old china, are Olympic standard. I'll leave others like ZM to take the actual "points" you make but it seems to me you are primarily trying to convince yourself that despite his treachery, extremism terrorist support, anti semitism, fiscal incompetence and anti Britishness you still support agent Cob.
JC can be blamed for not allowing a GE to "reset" parliament. One understands the reasons. He's scared his party would be devastated due to not supporting the people, and worries that the Brexit the public demanded might actually occur meanwhile.

But he and his party is only one component in Brexit not occurring, albeit a major one. While the government is a minority one, and the majority of parliament are remain supporters, parliament has gone out it's way to deny the people Brexit using unjustified fear of no-deal as their excuse. No manipulation of the media is needed to see and know these things for certain. The only thing is whether individuals accept the evidence of their own experience, or opt for denial because it doesn't fit their own desires.

That there were remoaners in the Tory party is hardly something that can be reasonably used to try to shift responsibility onto the PMs. It's very likely that a GE and likely increased majority for the Tory party would result in a vote through of Boris' 'less than ideal but likely the best anyone could get from the EU at this point', agreement; thus highlighting the misunderstandings and claims in the OP.
Once again Clarion you are SPOT ON .
Its just a pity about the Tunnel Visioned Tories , on A/B who can see further than their own Noses, as you say The Tories are running scared, very very scared. Seems like you have even got Me old China PHS , you have sent shivers down his spine with this post.

The plain fact is, that Brexit is where it is because of the Tory rebels. Anything else is just The Emperors' New Clothes. The Tories are trying to manipulate the media by constantly blaming Corbyn. As I said in my OP, Javid kept blaming Corbyn with every sentence on BBC Breakfast yesterday. It's cause and effect. Tory rebels cause the problem and the effect is that they blame everyone else.
They shot themselves in the foot when the rebels first voted against their own PM. How can anyone deny that? Had they supported the PM, everything else since would have been inconsequential.
The Tories are scared to death that Corbyn would win an election. It won't happen? Well, Trump was never going to be President was he?
cobras, brexit is where it is because of the VBQC across the HOQ, yes there are some Tories but only your c0kc eyed interpretation can blame them alone.
if the Tories are so afraid of Cob has anyone told Cob? Mention the word "election" at the moment and he fills his nappy.

It's a plain and obvious fact that you refuse to see. None so blind etc.
10cs.//None so blind etc//
Is that an admission?

Even you are falling for it, too Danny.
so 20 or so quisling tories have more effect than 200+ quisling labour ites? Right oh! Tell me again about the winter of discontent... Mate you are completely crackers.
10cs.I think that is you is falling for it.Corbyn and the Libdems are the ones who want to remain in the EU.
so 1 Tory = 10 Labour? right I get it!
Question Author
Yes Danny. They do. I haven't said the opposite. But all the delays were born out of the rebel Tory MP's. Had they supported their own PM, then Corbyn, Blackford, Swinson et al could have made all the noise they wanted, to no avail. And, as some on here may be aware, I don't care if we're in the EU or not.
10cs: "Had they supported their own PM, then Corbyn, Blackford, Swinson et al could have made all the noise they wanted, to no avail. " - err no, are you familiar with the quaint old educational tradition, arithmetic? Even with those you refer to, the government is a minority, that means that if you add up all the opposition MPs it comes to more than the government MPs. Let me know if you are struggling here, I am a great teacher.
BORIS for PM after a GE
yeahhhhhh :0)
does Cob know he'd win an election hands down? I wish someone would tell him at the moment he seems to be taking note of the meeja! 10cs give Labour HQ a bell me old china I think they need you!
