Just out of interest have you discussed why you are now coming onto the mortgage when you were previously not on it ? Just to make sure you know that you are then liable for the debt also, whereas now it is in your husband's sole name. If anything were to go wrong with the marriage, and of course hopefully it would not, but you only have to look on this site to see how it happens, then obviously you have then remortgaged the house and also become jointly liable. I know you might feel that you are not on the deeds, but as his wife you would still be entitled to have an interest in the property.
